Job Summary
As a Chemical Technical Assistant at VKTA in Dresden-Rossendorf, you will play a vital role in environmental and radionuclide analysis. Your daily responsibilities include performing general laboratory work, preparing samples, and conducting activity analyses using gamma spectrometry and liquid scintillation counting. You will be actively involved in environmental monitoring, specifically immission monitoring during both standard operations and potential incidents. Additionally, you will provide technical support for laboratory quality assurance and assist in testing new analytical methods. Education
Completed vocational training as a Chemical-Technical Assistant (CTA) or Physical-Technical Assistant (PTA)
Experience
- Professional experience as a Chemical-Technical Assistant (CTA) or Physical-Technical Assistant (PTA)
- Several years of professional experience preferred, ideally in radionuclide analysis and radiation protection
- Experience in laboratory operations and sample preparation
- Experience in immission monitoring and activity analysis
Languages
Additional
- Willingness and medical fitness to work in radiation protection areas and handle radioactive substances is required. High degree of independence, sense of responsibility, and strong organizational skills are essential.
