Job Summary

Join the Mobility and Transport Department in Aachen to drive the transition towards sustainable mobility by focusing on road and infrastructure planning. This full-time, permanent role involves creating execution-ready plans (phases 1-5, focusing on 3 and 5) for road construction and modification projects, ensuring compliance with technical standards. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating planning stages both internally and externally, managing public inquiries, preparing committee proposals, and representing projects in political bodies. A key responsibility is overseeing the street lighting operations contract, including planning and tracking orders with the utility company (STAWAG). The ideal candidate holds a qualification as a certified Civil Engineering Technician or equivalent, possesses strong communication and social skills, and is proficient in road planning technical knowledge and ideally, CAD software. Required Skills

Education

Certified Technician in Civil Engineering (State-certified) OR three-year technical vocational training in development, construction, and CAD or comparable technical vocational training.

Experience
