Job Summary
This role involves joining the Institute for Applied Medical Informatics at the University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) to develop a crucial oncological second opinion platform. The IT Application Programmer will be responsible for the full development lifecycle, including analyzing technical requirements, designing and implementing data storage, visualization, and ETL processes, and developing applications like Docker container process controls and data quality tools. The ideal candidate possesses a relevant IT degree or vocational training, strong skills in Java and/or React, and an analytical, hands-on approach. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to life-saving medical research and patient treatment within an agile team environment, supported by flexible working hours and the option for mobile work, though it is initially limited to a three-year project term.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training in a relevant IT specialization or completed university degree in a relevant IT specialization, or equivalent skills and experience.
Experience
- Professional experience in analyzing technical requirements and system conception
- Experience in implementing data storage, visualization, and ETL processes
- Professional experience developing applications for system control and data quality improvement
- Experience working in an agile team environment
