Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated researcher to pursue a PhD within the BRAINET consortium at Technische Universität Ilmenau, focusing on augmenting deep brain stimulation using spatio-temporal Interference Stimulation (stIS). The successful candidate will be responsible for developing advanced current flow models (digital twins) and performing comprehensive uncertainty analyses related to electrical conductivity and tissue geometry. A core task involves developing optimization strategies to determine the optimal placement of a novel interference stimulation device generation. This role requires a Master's degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical or Biomedical Engineering, and offers the chance to work on cutting-edge Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) technology involving novel magneto-electrical transducers and self-adjusting therapeutic systems. The position is full-time, fixed-term, and requires the candidate to meet specific EU mobility criteria.
