Job Summary
This role involves providing expert support and quality assurance for large-scale construction and maintenance projects, specifically focusing on civil or landscape engineering disciplines. The engineer will be responsible for independently performing services according to the German Fee Structure for Architects and Engineers (HOAI), collaborating constructively with project managers and stakeholders, and assisting with scheduling, budget, and cost planning. The ideal candidate holds a degree (Diploma/Master/Bachelor) in Civil Engineering, Supply Engineering, or Building Services/TGA, or has equivalent qualifications (Master Craftsman/Technician) with extensive professional experience. Key requirements include knowledge of relevant legal regulations (HOAI, VOB), strong negotiation and presentation skills, and the ability to think conceptually and cost-consciously. Secure German language skills (C1 level) are mandatory for effective communication and legal compliance.

Education
Required: Completed university degree (Diploma/Master/Bachelor) in Civil Engineering, Supply Engineering, Building Services/TGA, or a comparable engineering discipline. Alternative: State-certified Technician or Master Craftsman in the aforementioned fields, plus supplementary training and six years of relevant professional experience. Equivalent abilities proven through long-term professional activity may also be considered.
Experience
- Professional experience in quality and performance review of external architectural/engineering firms
- Experience in the selection and contract processing of freelancers and executing companies
- Experience working constructively with project managers and stakeholders in large construction projects
- If qualifying via Technician/Master Craftsman route: Minimum six years of relevant professional experience in an engineering-like capacity

- Must possess the ability and willingness to drive a company vehicle (Dienst-Kfz). Must be willing to undergo a security clearance check ('Ü1 to Ü3') according to the Security Clearance Act NRW. Knowledge of relevant legal regulations (e.g., HOAI, VOB) is required.
