Job Summary

This role involves serving as the Electrical Engineering expert within interdisciplinary project teams focused on federal construction projects, including facilities for the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) and Federal Police. Day-to-day tasks include contributing to feasibility studies, variant analyses, and the creation of construction documents specific to electrical systems. A key responsibility is managing and overseeing external engineering firms and contractors, ensuring quality, performance, and compliance with relevant legal standards (HOAI, VOB). The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields, or has equivalent technical qualifications combined with substantial professional experience. This position is attractive for engineers who thrive in complex, large-scale public sector projects and possess strong organizational and problem-solving skills, contributing directly to essential government infrastructure.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Diploma/Master/Bachelor) in Electrical Engineering, Energy and Building Technology, or a comparable field; OR successful completion as a state-certified Technician or Master in Electrical Engineering.

Experience

  • Professional experience in planning and implementing electrical systems in building construction projects (ideally several years)
  • Experience in the function of a planning engineer or client representative
  • Minimum six years of relevant professional experience in an engineering-like capacity (required if qualifying via Technician/Master qualification)
