Job Summary

This role involves serving as a Certified Technician specializing in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) within the Federal Waterways and Shipping Administration. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and updating execution plans to ensure the quality and availability of traffic engineering services and systems, analyzing performance statistics, and managing system monitoring and fault handling. The technician will coordinate maintenance, repair, and inspection activities, manage spare parts logistics, and handle procurement processes (tendering, awarding, acceptance) for new systems and equipment. Key requirements include a recognized qualification as a Certified Technician in Electrical Engineering (ICT focus) and practical experience in maintenance, spare parts management, network technology, and measurement techniques. The position is permanent, based in Koblenz, and requires a high degree of initiative, strong communication skills, and willingness to travel for assignments.
