Job Summary

This role is based at the Federal Highway Research Institute (BASt) in Bergisch Gladbach, focusing on IT administration with a specific emphasis on audit, compliance, and IT security. As an IT Auditor, you will be responsible for strengthening federal IT security guidelines (UPBund2017) and ensuring the implementation of measures within the Information Security Management System (ISMS). Your daily tasks will include planning and conducting internal audits, evaluating processes for efficiency and legality, and identifying vulnerabilities and risks. You will also develop improvement recommendations and advise management on audit-related issues. This part-time position (24 hours per week) offers a unique opportunity to contribute to national infrastructure security within a research-oriented environment. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT auditing and review methodology
  • Practical experience working with Internal Control Systems and Verinice software
  • Experience in risk management and vulnerability identification
  • Experience in creating audit reports and tracking remedial measures
  • Experience in advising management on compliance and audit topics
  • Knowledge of public service processes is preferred
