Job Summary
The Technical University of Dresden (TUD), a University of Excellence, is seeking a Research Associate for the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Institute of Power Engineering, focusing on imaging measurement methods for energy and process technology. This role, available until October 2028, involves developing and utilizing lattice sensor measurement technology for thermal-hydraulic test facilities, offering the opportunity for further scientific qualification (typically a doctorate). Key responsibilities include developing sensor technology for spatially resolved measurement of gas content and flow velocity, comparatively evaluating different sensor variants, constructing and characterizing miniaturized sensors, and conducting experimental studies on real test facilities. Candidates must possess an excellent university degree (Master's or Diploma) in Electrical Engineering, Precision Engineering, Physics, or a related field, strong interdisciplinary thinking, experimental skills, and fluency in English for scientific communication.
