Job Summary

This role seeks an AI Lab Engineer to join the AImotion Bavaria institute, contributing to cutting-edge research in AI-based mobility, including autonomous driving and digital production. The engineer will be responsible for the hands-on setup, processing, and testing of mechanical and electrical components, including 3D printing and wiring, within laboratory experiments and test environments. A core function involves the commissioning, configuration, programming, and maintenance of mechatronic systems, specifically integrating hardware and software for demonstrators focused on Production and Logistics applications. Candidates must possess a relevant university degree in fields like Mechatronics or Computer Science, and crucially, demonstrated knowledge of various robotic systems. Education

Relevant university degree (e.g., Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or comparable field)

Experience

  • Professional experience in setting up, processing, and testing mechanical and electrical components for lab experiments
  • Professional experience in commissioning, configuring, and maintaining mechatronic systems
  • Knowledge and experience working with robotic systems (e.g., industrial robots, mobile manipulators)
  • Experience supporting administrative tasks and organizational activities
