Job Summary

The Technical Relief Agency (THW) is seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Head of Division D 5 to lead the newly established 'Servicedesk' department within the Digitalization and IT Service Center (DITZ) in Bonn. This critical leadership role involves the personnel and organizational management of three key sections: Configuration and Distribution Center, User Help Desk, and Digital Radio (BOS-Digitalfunk). The successful candidate will be instrumental in conceptualizing, shaping, and optimizing customer-oriented IT processes across the THW, ensuring the Servicedesk functions as the central service point for all IT and communications users. This position requires strong leadership, technical expertise in IT or Digital Radio, excellent communication skills to convey complex technical matters, and a commitment to contributing to civil and disaster protection efforts within a unique, mission-driven organization.

Required Skills

Education

Completed scientific university degree (Diploma or Master) in Communication Technology, Computer Science, Administrative Informatics, or Business Informatics

Experience

  • Leadership and organizational competence
  • Knowledge and/or experience in IT or BOS Digital Radio
  • Experience in conveying complex technical matters to different audiences
  • Willingness to closely cooperate with volunteer helpers
