Job Summary
The City of Ratingen is seeking a dedicated Application Administrator to manage and maintain specialized IT systems, primarily serving the Fire Department, Rescue Services, and Finance departments. This critical role involves comprehensive system administration, including the installation and testing of updates, managing administrative roles and rights, and overseeing interfaces to preceding systems. Day-to-day tasks include providing essential Second-Level Support, coordinating resolution efforts with external providers for Third-Level issues, and assisting with troubleshooting. A significant part of the job involves the technical planning and execution of migration projects (upgrades and system changes), along with the preparation and installation of standard Office and CAD applications. Candidates must possess vocational training in IT System Administration or a degree in Computer Science, combined with several years of professional experience, ideally in application administration, demonstrating strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
