Job Summary

This role is an excellent opportunity for a student specializing in Medicine, Dentistry, Biology, or Biotechnology to gain practical experience within the centralized Biomaterial Bank (RWTH cBMB) at the University Hospital Aachen. The Student Assistant will primarily support the interdisciplinary team with the daily processing and documentation of incoming biological samples (biomaterials) from various entities, ensuring strict adherence to quality management protocols. Key responsibilities include sample preservation and meticulous documentation. Candidates should possess strong organizational skills, be team-oriented, and proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel). An interest in interdisciplinary work and familiarity with medical terminology, particularly in tumor pathology, is advantageous. This position requires 15 hours per week and is initially limited to one year with the option for extension, offering valuable exposure to clinical and research biobanking operations.
