Job Summary

This role involves performing microtechnological tasks within the technology and manufacturing sector, primarily executing production steps independently in a cleanroom environment. Key responsibilities include conducting lithography on silicon carbide, silicon, and novel substrate classes, performing metallic layer depositions using sputtering and evaporation methods (metallization), and carrying out precise layer thickness measurements and microscopic controls. The ideal candidate will have a completed technical education (e.g., Microtechnologist, Mechatronics Technician, Microelectronics Technician) and experience handling chemical systems, solvents, and operating metallization equipment. This position offers the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art, internationally oriented cleanroom facility operated by the Fraunhofer Society, contributing to the development of custom semiconductor components like SiC power transistors and sensors. The role is initially limited to two years, providing a chance to engage in application-oriented research and process improvement.
