Job Summary

This leadership role involves establishing and leading a new research group focused on Measurement Technology and System Integration within the High-Frequency Systems division at the renowned Fraunhofer FHR institute. The Group Lead will be responsible for the strategic direction, research focus, and technical verification of electronic assemblies for high-speed and high-frequency systems, including radar technology. Day-to-day activities include managing technical and disciplinary personnel, ensuring the scientific development of the team, and driving the industrialization of internal radar systems while maintaining ISO 9001 quality standards. A core component of the role is project acquisition from public and industrial clients, conceptualizing the transfer of research results into industrial and military applications, and coordinating complex projects with internal and external stakeholders. Candidates must possess a strong background in Electrical Engineering or related fields, significant experience in radar development, and proven leadership in managing industrial and publicly funded projects.
