Job Summary

This role is for an Engineer specializing in Property Surveying and Geodetic Reference within the Land, Surveying, and Cadastre Office in Cologne. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the future of property surveying by conducting complex and difficult sovereign cadastral surveys using modern measurement techniques, both indoors and outdoors. Day-to-day tasks include evaluating field results using specialized CAD and GIS software (like QGIS and KAVDI), integrating new measurement technologies, and leading boundary negotiations with stakeholders and citizens. Key requirements include a degree in Geodesy or Surveying, extensive field experience as a survey crew leader, and deep knowledge of relevant legal regulations and data processing systems like ALKIS. Required Skills

Education

Successful completion of a university degree (Fachhochschuldiplom or Bachelor) in Geodesy or Surveying. Qualification for Career Group 2, 1st Entry Level of the Surveying Technical Service (formerly higher surveying technical administrative service).

Experience

  • Extensive field experience as a responsible survey crew leader
  • Experience in complex and special surveys

  • Deep experience with Geograf, KAVDI, and adjustment programs
  • Experience in using modern measurement methods and devices
