Job Summary

This role involves acting as an Engineering Support Specialist, primarily responsible for the administration, maintenance, and robust operation of critical engineering applications such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and EPLAN, along with the Cideon Conversion Engine. Key daily tasks include managing system licensing, performing system configurations, executing software updates, and planning/realizing upgrades, patches, and migrations. A core responsibility is integrating these engineering tools into the SAP PLM platform using SAP ECTR (Engineering Control Center). The ideal candidate possesses a degree or training in (Business) Informatics or a comparable qualification, coupled with several years of experience as a System Administrator or IT Support Specialist in a CAD/CAM/Engineering environment. The position requires strong technical acumen in PLM/PDM systems and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with engineering and IT teams, ensuring optimized workflows and data exchange.
