Job Summary

The Technical Assistant role, based in the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at TU Dortmund University, involves hands-on support for the 'Hybrid Bionanosystems' professorship. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and executing cell and molecular biological laboratory work, such as PCR, Western Blotting, and cloning. The assistant will also be responsible for measuring biochemical samples, maintaining and repairing analytical equipment, preparing sterile nutrient media and buffers, and managing general lab organization, including ordering and creating standard operating procedures (SOPs). This position requires a completed technical assistant qualification in Chemistry or Biology, or equivalent laboratory experience, coupled with good English proficiency.
