Job Summary
This role involves high-level financial and personnel management within the Faculty of Computer Science at TU Dortmund, working closely with the Faculty Managing Director and the Vice Dean. The Finance Officer is responsible for comprehensive budget planning, including calculating performance-based resource allocation, and managing the planning, budgeting, and approval of all personnel measures (academic, non-academic, and student staff). Key daily tasks include financial control, adjusting the budget plan as necessary, and serving as the primary contact for professors and faculty units regarding budgeting and financial planning. The ideal candidate holds a university degree in Economics, Finance, Administrative Sciences, or Computer Science, possesses several years of experience in budgeting and financial control, ideally within higher education, and demonstrates strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Experience in science management and proficiency in both German and English are highly desirable for this challenging and varied position at the intersection of academia and administration.

Completed (scientific) university degree in Economics, Finance, Administrative Sciences, Computer Science, or comparable qualification.
Experience
