Job Summary

The Media Informatics Specialist is sought by the Bundeswehr's Operational Communication Center in Mayen to manage and optimize its digital infrastructure and content workflows. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing, implementing, and administering network infrastructures, managing data storage, archiving digital content using database systems, and ensuring data integrity. A key focus is planning and integrating custom software tools and automation solutions to streamline production workflows. Furthermore, the specialist will maintain online platforms for digital information distribution, evaluate IT market trends, and actively contribute to implementing the organization's IT security concept. This vital role requires a university degree in Media Informatics or Computer Science and demonstrated professional experience (at least two years) with various programming languages. Completed university degree (Bachelor or Diploma FH equivalent) in Media Informatics or Computer Science

Experience

  • At least two years of professional experience demonstrated in programming languages (HTML, Javascript, Python, CSS, PHP, C, C++, XML)
  • Experience in the Bundeswehr IT system, or willingness to acquire this knowledge through training
  • Experience in network technology, administration, management, and monitoring
  • Multi-year professional experience, preferably in the Social Media sector (Desired)
