Job Summary

This role involves serving as a Technical Specialist responsible for the maintenance, repair, and comparative testing of electronic components, devices, and systems, particularly those used by the German Armed Forces' Geoinformation Service (GeoInfoDBw). Day-to-day tasks include conducting independent fault diagnostics, troubleshooting, and performing new installations and modifications on GeoInfoDBw systems in both mobile and stationary settings. The specialist will also be responsible for the assembly, installation, and wiring of GeoInfoDBw sensors and associated distribution cabinets. A key requirement is performing VDE measurements on fixed and portable electrical systems, ensuring meticulous documentation and protocol creation. This position requires a completed vocational qualification in Electrical Engineering (Operations Technology or Energy and Building Technology) and a willingness to undertake regular domestic business travel and continuous training. The role offers the possibility of civil servant status (Beamter) within the German Federal Defence Force (Bundeswehr).

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an Electrician in Operations Technology or Energy and Building Technology (IHK / HWK) or equivalent related training.

Experience

Professional experience in maintenance and repair of electronic devices and systems
Experience in testing devices and systems according to DIN VDE standards (Desirable)
Experience working with CAD-supported circuit diagram software (Desirable)
Experience working with fiber optic technology (Desirable)
