Job Summary

This role involves working as an IT Specialist within the German Federal Armed Forces (Bundeswehr), specifically at the Center for Digitization and Cyber/Information Space Capability Development in Euskirchen. The core responsibilities focus heavily on quality assurance (QA) for mobile applications, including planning, coordinating, defining, and executing project-specific quality inspection measures and SP Unit-Tests. The specialist will be responsible for drafting and processing project-specific QA documentation and collaborating on the evaluation of customer problem reports and change requests from a QA perspective. This position requires a strong background in agile software development and testing, demonstrated by substantial professional experience. The successful candidate must be willing to travel regularly within Germany and participate in ongoing training, while also undergoing an expanded security clearance (Ü2).

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Bachelor or Diploma FH) in Computer Science or Informatics

Experience

  • At least three years of professional experience in the field of Computer Science after graduation
  • At least three years of professional experience in agile software development (e.g., Java or Kotlin)
  • At least three years of professional experience in creating software tests
  • Experience in creating Unit-Tests (e.g., JUnit) and UI-Tests (Desirable)
  • Experience in Software Composition Analysis (SCA) (Desirable)
  • Experience in technical guidance and consulting for small developer teams regarding QA aspects according to ISTQB criteria (Desirable)
