Job Summary

This role involves conducting cutting-edge research in biomarker analytics and metabolomics at the University of Rostock, with the primary goal of achieving scientific qualification (PhD). Day-to-day tasks include developing and validating high-throughput, partially automated methods for determining multiple biomarkers/metabolites across various applications. The associate will be heavily involved in conceptualizing and preparing research projects, writing grant proposals for external funding (BMBF, DFG, etc.), and publishing results in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. Additionally, the position requires teaching research-based courses (4 SWS) in process measurement technology, including preparing and correcting student performance assessments. The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in a relevant field like Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, or Biotechnology, possesses fundamental knowledge of analytical measurement technology (e.g., Mass Spectrometry, HPLC), and has a strong interest in interdisciplinary research and automation. Required Skills

Education

Completed scientific university degree (Diploma, Master, or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or a comparable field with at least a good result. Opportunity for PhD (scientific qualification).
