Job Summary

This PhD Candidate position is part of the DFG-funded Research Training Group (RTG) 3095, focusing on elucidating protective and pathogenic antibody responses at immunological barrier organs like the skin, intestine, and lungs. The successful candidate will conduct doctoral research for Project P03, investigating the imprint of diet, specifically high-fat diet, on B cell functions and IgE formation, and its impact on skin inflammation in mouse models of atopic dermatitis. Daily responsibilities include performing advanced experimental work using molecular and cellular biology techniques, applying bioinformatics approaches for high-throughput data analysis (e.g., scRNA-seq), and actively participating in the RTG’s structured qualification program, including presenting findings at consortium meetings. Key requirements include a Master's degree in Life Sciences and excellent command of English. The role offers a stimulating research environment with access to state-of-the-art technologies like single-cell sequencing and spatial transcriptomics, and excellent networking opportunities.
