Job Summary

This critical role involves ensuring the stable, secure, and efficient operation of z/OS Mainframe systems, which underpin the central applications utilized by the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr). Day-to-day responsibilities include the conception of Mainframe infrastructure, providing Second-Level Support, and executing the implementation, testing, and deployment of software configuration changes. The engineer will also be responsible for maintaining and advancing implementation and operational standards. Key requirements include strong expertise in IBM Communications Server (SNA/TCPIP/AT-TLS), IBM Z System Automation, and proficiency in REXX and JCL.
