Job Summary
This role involves strengthening the Structural Maintenance team within the Civil Engineering Office of Dortmund, focusing on the preservation and renewal of approximately 400 existing engineering structures, including bridges, tunnels, and retaining walls. The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical processing of inspections and maintenance according to DIN 1076, managing object planning across all phases (HOAI 1-9) for rehabilitation projects, and overseeing construction supervision for new builds, modifications, and major repairs. Key responsibilities also include preparing service specifications, handling tenders, and performing technical reviews of contracts and invoices, including change order management. The position requires a degree in Civil Engineering and either existing certification as a 'Structural Inspector' or the commitment to obtain it quickly, alongside strong analytical and communication skills.

Bachelor's degree or FH Diploma in Civil Engineering (specialization in Structural Engineering or Transportation); Certification as a 'Structural Inspector' (or willingness to obtain it quickly)
Experience
- Completed university degree (Bachelor, FH Diploma) in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering or Transportation
- Professional knowledge of planning, awarding, and contract processing
- Professional knowledge of relevant regulations, laws, and guidelines (e.g., DIN 1076, HOAI, ZTV-ING)
