Job Summary

The GSI Helmholtz Center for Heavy Ion Research in Darmstadt is seeking an outstanding Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Materials Science department. This role is crucial for the DINERWA project, focusing on fusion research in collaboration with German and European partners. The successful candidate will primarily design and synthesize advanced alloys using Electrochemical Deposition, characterize the resulting samples using a wide range of analytical methods (such as SEM, TEM, XRD), and investigate their radiation resistance under extreme conditions. Key qualifications include a doctoral degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, or Physics, fundamental research experience in Electrochemistry, and excellent knowledge of advanced alloys. This position offers the opportunity to publish and present scientific results internationally while working within a cutting-edge, global research environment.
