Job Summary

This is a permanent, full-time position for an Electronics Technician or IT Specialist within the North Sea-Baltic Canal Waterways and Shipping Office. The role focuses on the planned and unplanned maintenance and repair of server systems, electrical systems, and network components specifically within the System Maritime Traffic Technology (SMV) domain. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining and repairing remote control and monitoring systems, network and data transmission components along the North Sea-Baltic Canal, and participating in an on-call rotation. The ideal candidate must have a completed professional training in electronics or IT, good device knowledge, and be medically fit for work at heights. Prior experience in communications technology, network technology, or radar technology is highly desirable, along with proficiency in Microsoft and Linux-based systems. This position offers a stable, crisis-proof job within a major federal authority, providing an interesting and varied field of work with opportunities for further training.

Completed professional training as an Information Electronics Technician, Electronics Technician for Information and System Technology, Electronics Technician for Devices and Systems, IT System Electronics Technician, or IT Specialist.

Experience

  • Professional experience in communications technology, network technology, radio technology, and/or radar technology (Desirable)
  • Professional experience in maintenance and repair of server systems and network components
  • Good device knowledge (Required)
