Job Summary

This role involves supporting the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) as a Software/AI Architect within the 'IT Architecture, AI & Innovation' department, focusing on planning and advancing the BKA's technology landscape. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining technical standards, designing and maintaining architecture-driven solutions for police-specific topics, and developing 'Architecture-as-a-Service' prototypes (PoCs and MVPs). The architect will drive the strategic technology roadmap towards Multi-Cloud, AI, and Data Analytics, ensuring harmonization and synergistic use of central IT services. Key requirements include a university degree in a MINT field with an IT component or equivalent experience, proven practical experience in software development (e.g., Python, Java, C++), and knowledge of Kubernetes and DevOps methodologies. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Diplom [FH] or Bachelor) in a MINT field with an IT component, or comparable qualifications and experience, or completed vocational training with an IT focus.

Experience

  • Proven practical experience in software development
  • Knowledge in platform strategy with Kubernetes and DevOps methods
  • Initial project experience in the application and/or realization of AI solutions
  • Experience in the development and testing of architecture prototypes (PoCs and MVPs)
  • Professional experience in a relevant IT field (minimum 3 years required for vocational training path)
  • Professional experience in an IT-focused field (minimum 6 years required for non-IT vocational training/degree path)
