Job Summary
Join the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) as a Software/AI Architect within the newly formed 'IT Architecture, AI & Innovation' department. This role is crucial for centrally planning and advancing the BKA's technology landscape, focusing on developing pioneering, architecture-driven solutions for development and operations. You will be instrumental in shaping the BKA's future technological direction, particularly towards Multi-Cloud, AI, and Data Analytics. Day-to-day tasks include technical standardization, designing and maintaining solution architectures, developing 'Architecture-as-a-service' concepts via PoCs and MVPs, and technology scouting in areas like AI, ML, and Cloud platforms. Candidates must possess a university degree (Bachelor or equivalent) in a MINT field with an IT component, or comparable professional experience. Practical experience in software development (e.g., Python, Java) and knowledge of Kubernetes and DevOps methodologies are highly desirable, offering a chance to contribute to national security through cutting-edge IT architecture.

Experience
- Completed university degree (Bachelor or equivalent) in a MINT field with an IT component
- OR completed vocational training with an IT focus and at least three years of professional experience in a corresponding job profile
- OR completed vocational training or university degree and at least six years of professional experience in a corresponding job profile with an IT focus
- Proven practical experience in software development (e.g., Python, Java, Javascript, C++) (Desirable)
- Knowledge of platform strategies with Kubernetes (Deployment, Multi Cluster) (Desirable)
- Initial project experience in the application and/or realization of AI solutions (Desirable)

- Consent to undergo an extended security clearance check according to § 9 SÜG (Security Clearance Act) is mandatory; Security risk must not be present; Position is for a specialist level professional (Fachkraft); Location is Wiesbaden or Berlin; Permanent contract (UNBEFRISTET).
