Job Summary

This role offers an opportunity to join the Vehicle Engineering team in Berlin, focusing on designing the next generation of cutting-edge automotive exterior products. The Mechanical Design Engineer will be instrumental in concept engineering, feasibility studies, and packaging within the vehicle architecture. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing production designs using CATIA V5 and 3DX, interpreting CAE results, and ensuring designs meet targets for craftsmanship, function, cost, and weight. The ideal candidate must possess a background in mechanical engineering, proficiency in 3D CAD tools, and experience navigating the full product lifecycle from design through launch in the automotive exterior systems domain. This position requires working in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and applying knowledge of various manufacturing processes like plastic injection molding and SMC to deliver innovative products for global markets.
