Job Summary

The Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg is seeking a part-time (65%), fixed-term Research Associate for a DFG-funded project within the Institute for Molecular Medicine. This role focuses on reconstructing transcriptional networks beneath the MAPK signaling cascade, which is crucial for cell proliferation and survival, aiming to identify new therapeutic targets for MAPK-related cancers. Day-to-day tasks include designing and cloning CRISPR sgRNA libraries, performing Perturb-Seq experiments in human cancer cell lines, and conducting bioinformatics analysis of the generated data. The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in Biochemistry and possesses experience with molecular cloning, flow cytometry, and RNA-Seq analysis, alongside programming skills in R and/or Python. This position offers the opportunity for independent project management, scientific qualification, and participation in national collaborations within a supportive academic environment.
