Job Summary

This role is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated scientist to join the Institute for Anatomy and Cell Biology at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing scientific projects focused on the in vitro modeling of neurodegeneration and regeneration. Key tasks include establishing high-throughput pipelines for morphometric analysis, conducting site-directed mutagenesis, and analyzing iPSC lines from patients with neurodegenerative diseases. The position also involves participation in animal experimentation projects and anatomical teaching duties. Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Biochemistry or a related natural science field, expertise in primary neuronal cell cultures, and a strong background in molecular biology techniques such as immunohistochemistry, Western blot, and qPCR. This fixed-term, part-time (65%) position offers the chance for scientific qualification through a doctoral degree.
