Job Summary

This critical role involves the planning, maintenance, and autonomous operation of Medium Voltage (6 kV, 20 kV) and associated Low Voltage (400 V) infrastructure across the Technical University of Darmstadt's extensive campus. The successful candidate will serve as the authorized switching and system responsible person, executing complex switching operations during disturbances and construction, and ensuring strict compliance with VDE regulations and safety standards. Day-to-day duties include regular functional testing of network protection devices, managing external contractors performing maintenance, and overseeing the operation and upkeep of PV systems, emergency power generators, and battery facilities. Furthermore, the technician will provide essential operational advice to project management teams during the planning and tendering phases for new construction and renovation projects.
