Job Summary

This role seeks a dedicated Research Data Management Specialist to drive the development and adoption of DBRepo, a new service building a FAIR repository for heterogeneous relational research databases, funded by the DFG. The specialist will serve as the Product Owner, closely collaborating with software developers at TU Darmstadt and TU Wien to define and implement crucial features such as rights/role management, semantic metadata, and potentially AI-supported natural language queries. A major focus is on community building, involving the acquisition and support of pilot users across Germany, expanding the usage and development community, and participating in key FDM networks like NFDI. Day-to-day responsibilities also include creating comprehensive documentation, developing training concepts, and conducting workshops to disseminate project results. Candidates must possess a scientific university degree (Master's level), strong knowledge of relational databases, and excellent communication skills in both German and English, offering a unique opportunity to significantly contribute to national research infrastructure development.

Required Skills

Education

Completed scientific university degree (Master's, Diploma, or equivalent); Doctorate or alternative relevant professional experience is advantageous.
