Job Summary

Join the Central Service Element Analysis team at the Chemical and Veterinary Investigation Office (CVUA) Freiburg, contributing to consumer protection and food safety through advanced laboratory analysis. This role involves critical sample preparation for measurement, including homogenization and microwave-assisted pressure digestion, primarily focusing on heavy metals and mineral elements in food and veterinary samples. Day-to-day tasks include managing incoming samples, entering results into the Laboratory Information and Management System (LIMS), and performing analyses using techniques like Cold Vapor Atomic Fluorescence Spectrometry (CV-AFS). The ideal candidate holds a qualification as a CTA or Chemical Laboratory Technician, possesses strong technical understanding, experience with LIMS, and a meticulous, reliable approach to analytical work. This is a meaningful, part-time (50%) position, initially limited until the end of 2026, offering a supportive team environment and engagement with modern analytical technology.
