Job Summary

The Hessian Tax Administration is seeking multiple Data Engineers to join the TECLION AI Competence Center in Kassel. In this critical role, you will significantly drive the digitalization of the tax administration by establishing and maintaining a modern, secure data infrastructure. Daily tasks involve close collaboration with IT Security, Administration, and AI project teams. You will be the central expert for all data-related topics, encompassing storage technologies, ETL pipelines, and providing consultancy for cross-departmental projects. Working within an interdisciplinary team alongside Data Scientists and ML Engineers, you will be crucial in data procurement, preprocessing, and dataset provision for AI projects focused on Big Data, Data Mining, Machine Learning, and generative AI. The ideal candidate possesses a Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, deep knowledge of data architecture, and practical expertise in SQL query optimization, contributing to tax fairness through innovative technology.
