Job Summary

The Hessian Tax Administration is seeking multiple Full-Stack Software Developers to join the TECLION AI Competence Center in Kassel. This role is pivotal in driving the digitalization of the tax administration by designing, developing, and operating modern web applications and tools. You will work in an interdisciplinary team of computer scientists and tax experts, focusing on the entire software lifecycle, from requirements analysis and architecture to deployment and operation. The team utilizes cutting-edge technologies, including Big Data, Data Mining, Machine Learning, and generative AI, to analyze increasing data volumes and enhance tax equity. Candidates should possess a degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, coupled with several years of professional software development experience, ideally utilizing technologies like Java, Spring, Typescript, or React. Experience with CI/CD, container technologies (Kubernetes is a bonus), and Linux operating systems is essential for success in this innovative and impactful public sector role.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Computer Science or a comparable field, or equivalent skills and experience acquired through other means.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in software development
  • Experience with technologies such as Java, Spring, Typescript, or React (ideal)
  • Experience with container technologies (Kubernetes experience is a bonus)
  • Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment
