Job Summary

This role is based within the 'Kidney Immunology' research group at the University Hospital Erlangen, focusing on investigating the immune response following kidney transplantation and developing new therapeutic strategies to prevent graft rejection. The successful candidate will be instrumental in conducting complex experimental research, primarily involving performing animal experiments using rat and mouse models, including specialized surgical procedures such as kidney and skin transplantation. Furthermore, the role requires proficiency in various laboratory analytical methods, including cell culture and flow cytometry. Candidates must hold a completed degree in veterinary medicine or natural sciences and demonstrate a strong interest in experimental animal work and a motivation to quickly acquire new methodologies. This is an attractive part-time position (25 hours per week) offering comprehensive training, flexible working hours, and the potential opportunity to pursue a PhD (Dr. rer. nat. or Dr. rer. biol.) through the associated graduate college.

Experience
