Job Summary

This part-time position (32 hours/week) seeks a dedicated Medical or Biological Technical Assistant to support an interdisciplinary research team at the CITABLE, focusing on cellular mechanisms of the immune response using cutting-edge molecular and microscopic methods. Day-to-day responsibilities include the independent execution and management of cell culture work, utilizing both primary and established cell lines. You will actively support complex molecular and biochemical analyses, including DNA/RNA isolation, PCR, cloning, Immunoblot, and ELISA. A key organizational component of the role involves managing laboratory ordering and general lab operations, preparing samples for experimental investigations, and assisting in the training and onboarding of new employees and students. The ideal candidate holds a completed MTA or BTA qualification and brings experience in cell cultivation and molecular biology techniques, coupled with strong organizational skills and a collaborative spirit within a scientific, international environment. This role offers a long-term perspective within a public service setting.

Completed training as a Medical Technical Assistant (MTA) or Biological Technical Assistant (BTA) or comparable qualification

Experience
