Job Summary
This role is a highly engaging Doctoral Research Associate position focused on translational research within the Department of Immunomodulation at Universitätsklinikum Erlangen. The core mission involves investigating the protective and inductive effects of the soluble molecule sCD83 on hair growth. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing advanced microscopic, histological, and molecular biological analyses on human hair follicles under specific culture conditions, elucidating underlying cellular signaling pathways, and participating in animal experimental studies, such as mouse hair growth models. The successful candidate will independently plan, execute, document, and evaluate experiments, contribute to the publication of results, and present findings at international conferences. Key requirements include a Master's degree in a relevant life science field (e.g., Immunology, Biochemistry) and a strong interest in hair follicle and stem cell biology. Required Skills
