Job Summary

This role requires a highly motivated Technical Assistant (MTA, BTA, PTA, or Bachelor in Biology/Biotechnology/Life Sciences) to contribute to the field of Immunomonitoring and Cellular Therapy within the Hematology and Internal Oncology department at the University Hospital Erlangen. The core responsibilities involve the independent processing, analysis, and preservation of patient samples, directly supporting projects with high clinical relevance for tumor patients. Key daily tasks include the autonomous execution of FACS-based investigations, establishing, optimizing, and validating new analytical test procedures, and comprehensive data documentation in an electronic database. Candidates must demonstrate strong organizational skills, technical understanding, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Prior experience in immunology, flow cytometry, or a GMP environment is highly beneficial, offering an exciting opportunity to apply specialized life science knowledge in a cutting-edge clinical research setting.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as Medical Technical Assistant (MTA), Biological Technical Assistant (BTA), Pharmaceutical Technical Assistant (PTA), or completed Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biotechnology, or Life Sciences.

Experience

  • Professional experience in self-reliant processing, analysis, and conservation of patient samples
  • Experience in conducting FACS-based investigations
  • Experience with establishing, optimizing, and validating analytical test procedures
  • Experience in Immunomonitoring, Flow Cytometry, and/or Lab Diagnostics (Advantageous)
  • Experience working in a GMP environment (Advantageous)
