The City of Stuttgart is seeking a Section Manager to lead the 'Specific City-Wide Applications' team within the Office for Digitalization, Organization, and IT (DO.IT). This critical, permanent role involves managing a team of up to 20 IT specialists and product owners, focusing primarily on the city's communication, collaboration, and Office application solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic development, integration, and stable operation of these digital services, ensuring efficient information flow and modern collaboration across the municipality. Key responsibilities include steering operational and support processes, ensuring compliance with quality, security, and data protection standards, and actively representing the section in projects and internal committees. This position requires proven leadership skills and deep expertise in IT architecture, portal solutions, and complex infrastructure integration, offering a secure, future-oriented role within public service.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Master/Diploma) in Computer Science or equivalent qualification; Alternatively, civil servants in the higher information technology service (minimum A 12) willing to complete the required promotion course successfully.
