Job Summary

The IT Domain Architect - Web, based in Stuttgart's Office for Digitalization, Organization, and IT, will be responsible for defining the architecture, strategy, and standardization of city-wide browser platforms, including Firefox, Edge, and Safari. This role is crucial for ensuring secure, efficient, and future-proof access to digital services across the city administration. Key responsibilities involve developing and implementing a robust browser strategy, defining standards, guidelines, and security specifications in alignment with BSI basic protection and current IT security requirements. The successful candidate will coordinate and provide strategic consultation and quality assurance for projects and implementation partners within the browser environment. Collaboration with engineers and other domain architects (e.g., Enterprise Search, Data Strategy) is essential for integrating solutions into the digital workplace. This position requires a university degree in Computer Science or a comparable field, coupled with several years of relevant professional experience, advanced programming knowledge, and fluent German language skills.

Required Skills

Education

University degree, preferably in Computer Science or a comparable field. Foreign degrees require German recognition or proof of equivalence. Translation by sworn interpreters/translators required for non-German documents.

Experience

  • Several years of relevant professional experience in IT or comparable field
  • Experience in the operational execution of projects
  • Experience in the creation of technical concepts
  • Practical experience in the advertised field of activity (for civil servants)

Additional
