Job Summary

This leadership role involves heading the section responsible for the development and operation of the IT infrastructure supporting the Integrated Measurement and Information System (IMIS) measurement networks, crucial for federal radiological emergency response and environmental monitoring. The successful candidate will lead a team of dedicated IT specialists and conceptually and professionally manage the modernization project for the IT of the Gamma Dose Rate (ODL) measurement network, ensuring high availability and redundancy across six federal sites. Key responsibilities include implementing new secure data transmission procedures, developing methods and concepts for the technical advancement of IMIS networks, and incorporating modern approaches like AI support. Candidates must possess a scientific or technical Master's degree (e.g., Computer Science, Physics) and significant experience in software development, project implementation, and Linux-based deployment strategies, with a strong commitment to digital sustainability and Open-Source principles.
