Job Summary

This role involves critical field operations for the Federal Office for Radiation Protection, focusing on the maintenance and inspection of the nationwide Gamma Dose Rate (ODL) measurement network, particularly across Baden-Württemberg, parts of Rhineland-Palatinate, and Hesse. Day-to-day tasks include conducting nuclide-specific measurements using mobile systems, planning and executing service trips as a self-driver (potentially involving overnight stays), and ensuring the operational readiness of the mobile measurement system and service vehicle. The technician is also responsible for performing comparative measurements and creating comprehensive, digitally supported documentation of measurement sites. Key requirements include a State-Certified Technician degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics Technology, along with knowledge of digital data transmission, radio technology, and low voltage networks.
