Job Summary

This role involves specialized administrative duties within aviation security, focusing on regulatory oversight and enforcement under the Air Security Act. The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical and personnel supervision of control staff and self-protection measures at several key airports, including Stuttgart, Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden, Friedrichshafen, and Mannheim. Day-to-day tasks include conducting inspections and security tests according to the National Aviation Security Program, handling fundamental legal issues, coordinating budget resources, and managing the procurement of control technology for passenger and baggage screening. This position requires a civil servant with extensive administrative experience, excellent legal comprehension skills, and the willingness to travel frequently to various airport locations, sometimes outside core working hours. Required Skills

Education

Civil servant status (Beamter/Beamtin) in the higher administrative service or higher police enforcement service

Experience

  • Professional experience as a civil servant in the higher administrative service or higher police enforcement service
  • Several years of broad administrative experience
  • Experience at minimum in the status rank A11
  • Willingness to perform frequent, often multi-day, external appointments, potentially outside core working hours
