Job Summary

This role is centered within the Real Estate and Construction Projects department of the Segeberg District administration, overseeing the complete lifecycle management of approximately 50 properties. The Property Management Officer will be responsible for a diverse set of tasks, including defining and coordinating IT requirements (hardware and software), administering specialized software, and implementing Building Information Modeling (BIM). A significant part of the role involves commercial management, such as procuring and settling external services (e.g., cleaning, landscaping), maintaining property data, benchmarking, and developing internal processes. Furthermore, the officer will manage key systems, perform risk assessments, and rigorously monitor and control project costs, deadlines, and quality standards. The position requires a strong background in public administration or a relevant degree (Business Informatics/Administration), combined with solid commercial acumen and expertise in IT and procurement law, making it ideal for a detail-oriented professional seeking a stable, multifaceted role in public service.

Required Skills

Education

Required qualifications include either a qualification for the General Administration career path (Laufbahngruppe 1, 2. Einstiegsamt or Laufbahngruppe 2, 1. Einstiegsamt), a completed training as an Administrative Specialist (Verwaltungsfachangestellte) or comparable vocational training (e.g., Tax/Social Insurance Specialist) combined with the willingness to obtain the Administrative Specialist II qualification, or a degree in Business Informatics or Business Administration.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in administration or a comparable field (depending on initial qualification)
  • Professional experience in public service (if specific initial qualifications are met)
  • Knowledge of contract and procurement law (Ideally)
  • Experience in commercial and IT areas (Ideally)

Additional

  • Driver's license Class B (or 3) is required, along with the willingness to use a private vehicle for work against cost reimbursement. Willingness to complete specific public service advancement training (Aufstieg or Verwaltungsfachwirt) depending on initial qualification.
