Job Summary

This critical role places the Patent Attorney within the IP & IT Legal department of HENSOLDT, a leading European defense and security technology company. The successful candidate will act as the central point of contact for all patent law issues across the HENSOLDT Group, collaborating closely with the Chief Technology Officer, Heads of Engineering, and developers. Day-to-day responsibilities include the independent drafting and filing of protective right applications, conducting proceedings before national and European patent offices, and performing comprehensive patent searches and legal opinions. You will be instrumental in managing Freedom-to-Operate analyses, contributing to the innovative patent strategy, and evaluating complex legal risks. The position requires a technical university background (preferably in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Physics), full qualification as a Patent Attorney, and several years of relevant professional experience in an international industrial setting or law firm. Fluency in both German and English is mandatory for successful negotiation and communication.
