Job Summary

This permanent position within the IT-Security Competence Center (IT-S CC) of the Stuttgart City Administration focuses on coordinating city-wide IT Vulnerability Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, establishing, and continuously developing the vulnerability management system, including integrating essential interfaces such as Critical Infrastructures (KRITIS). Key daily activities involve optimizing security processes and concepts across the city, coordinating all relevant internal and external stakeholders, and planning and executing sensitization measures, training, and audits. Furthermore, the role requires advising stakeholders on vulnerability management best practices and creating regular reports. Candidates must possess a degree in Computer Science or a related IT field, or equivalent professional experience, coupled with expert knowledge of standard security frameworks like BSI IT-Grundschutz and ISO/IEC 27001. This role offers a stable public sector environment focused on critical IT security operations.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree with an IT focus (preferably Computer Science or Business Informatics) or comparable qualification; alternatively, completed IT vocational training with several years of relevant professional experience in the IT environment.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the IT environment (required if educational background is vocational training)
  • Knowledge in Vulnerability Management and general IT security measures
  • Familiarity with common security standards (e.g., BSI IT-Grundschutz, ISO/IEC 27001, KRITIS) and frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP)
